Clear Voice Transducer Story
Planar technology has been around since the early 1930's and has always been known for it's ability to deliver clear and crisp sound. Over the years users of planar have been satisfied with the technology available and have incorporated planar devices into a variety of commercial and home audio products.
Unlike other planar companies, Clear Voice wasn't satisfied with the status quo and set out to develop a better planar device. With a team of engineers and physicists, Clear Voice developed a new planar transducer that is unmatched in performance and quality. Reaching distances in excess of 2000' and able to broadcast an intelligible message 10 decibels below the ambient noise level, the Clear Voice transducer was tested by an independent laboratory recording a perfect score on the CIS intelligibility test. In a separate test using STIPA testing equipment, the Clear Voice transducer registered an "Average High Background Noise STI improvement" of 12.4% over a high fidelity line array reference speaker. When tested side-by-side with conventional horns, speakers and other planar devices, CLEAR VOICE is always declared The Clear Choice. |
Why Planar is Better
|
Due to their functional design, conventional speakers and horns create multiple sound waves of the desired frequencies in addition to generating multiple waves of unwanted frequencies. As the wanted and unwanted frequency waves travel away from the source they collide and multiply resulting in distortion and cancellation of the sound wave. The affect of the multiple signal collision, distortion, and cancellation is known as Speaker Chaos. When sound waves collide and multiply, the resulting distortion reduces the intelligibility of the sound wave and decreases the distance the sound wave can travel.
Clear Voice transducers do not create "Chaos" because they generate a single sound wave from a single source without any distortion. The properties of this pure sound wave is what allows it to travel greater distances and arrive at the listener with greater clarity. In environments where the ambient noise level is very high or in situations where a large area needs to be covered, the Clear Voice transducer is superior to all conventional speakers, horns, and even other planar devices. |
